What hair-styling products do you use?
I like to use Herbal Essences, mostly because it smells soooooooo good. 
I use the style holding mousse (with the bamboo stuff, I think) for straightening my hair, and the Tousle Me Softly for making my hair curly. I also use this other stuff to fix flyaways...I don't know what brand it is, though.
What do you use? What brands do you recommend?
I have heard that Herbal Essences has bad build-up...too bad, too, because I love it. D:
As for shampoo/conditioner, I use Dangerously Straight or something like that from Herbal Essences, too. 
There are three products that I swear by.
1.) Chi Silk Infusion - it is a great heat protector for blow drying/straightening your hair. It makes it sot and shiny, plus it smells nice.
2.)Body Shop Straightening balm - It really helps to straighten out curly/wavy/kinky hair. My hair dries wavy without heat, and it helps make my hair really straight and smooth.
3.)Moroccan oil - the oil smells SO GOOD! Just use a teeny amount before straightening to make it shiny, or in the morning to make it shiny and it smells amazing!
I normally put like, a quarter size amount of each of these products in my hand and swirl them around, and then I put them all on my hair before blowing it dry and straightening it, but I have really thick relaxed hair, so I can use a lot of product, and I only wash my hair once or twice a week. But I am 100% sure that all of these products work wonders on hair of any ethnicity. I have friends of all races that use them too. I swear by them.
Also, a really good shampoo brand is Redken. It is a salon brand that they use at most of the salons I go to (I get my hair done at the salon a lot) Its great stuff!

Dyson owners only...Is the Dyson Slim good for bare floors?
I need a new vacuum and I'm thinking about getting a Dyson Slim. Half my house is carpeted, half (the half that gets most of the usage) is bamboo flooring. Can the roller brush be turned off? What about hair getting caught in the roller brush? I have two fluffy dogs. Tell me the pros and cons.
i don't think this is the write kind of vaccum for you because it leaves pet hair behind and works best on carpet
