How do you try and figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life; if at least for rest of the year?
I'm 23 and I have no clue what I'm good at and what I'm supposed to do. I identify as a writer, but I have no portfolio of anything good and I've always been slashed to ribbons about the style I write.
I also identify as a singer, but nothing too extreme.
I consider any fine art assocations in jobs, even if its just a secretary to be very refined and a very respectful job... but even in a great Bohemian art-centered city like Iowa City there's no job available.
So what the hell do I do? I can't move anywhere, I have no money.

How do you know that the destruction of the human race isn't tomorrow??? You don't so why are you worried about what your going to do in 35 years or even in 1 year. Don't worry about it. Do something you like or that you will have fun in. If you want to be a writer then be a writer, who cares if some teacher didn't like your style. It's YOUR style.
