Hair Disaster - advice please!!?
I had highlighted ashy dark blonde hair which I loved, but I had roots so I dyed it with a Boots semi permanent dye which came out dark red (!!!!) I immediately booked a colour correction appointment at Toni and Guy, where they used a toner to make the red brown a Chocolate Brown (really really dark) and did a half head of highlights. The highlights are really really light, almost grey, and because I have a layered long haircut, It looks like I am wearing a light grey wispy wig over dark chocolate hair. I hate it but I have spent £100!! I didn't tell the salon I didnt like it because I was so relieved the red had gone and so desperate to get out of there that I said nothing. Can I get the other half of my head highlighted? All this dying has really dried it out and its lost its shine. I'm so upset - my hair's my thing!!
I would suggest buying a "dye out" solution. I would recommend not coloring your hair for some time, it is a very delicate part of your body. All these chemicals have damaged it. The "dye out" can also damage your hair further. Your hair needs a break, let it rest for awhile. I'm sure your natural color is beautiful.
