ok i just bought vitamin c pills and the ingredients scare me,
Ingredients: ascorbic acid, cellulose, micro-crystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, crospoviden, steric acid, talc, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten free
Thats alot of Stuff to be in a Vitamn C pill, should i be Worried? i just ate 1 Helpp
Ascorbic acid: This is vitamin C.
Cellulose: This is used as a thickener and bulker, to make the pills larger
Magnesium stearate and Steric acid: So the pill hardens and doesn't crumble
Silicon dioxide: also known as sand or quartz, used as a bulker.
SLS: Used to break down the water tension so the pill is easier to chew/dissolves quicker.
Others: mainly colours and maybe flavours.
You've got a perfectly normal pill there, don't get conned that one pill is better than another.
